The decision by Gen JJ Singh (Retd) to join the SAD is purely his personal choice, but has surprised many. Politics is not a field for such a brilliant officer. The party he has joined is fighting the elections on development agenda, which starts from Badal village and ends there only. The foundation stones of the last elections are yet to see the light of day. Projects relating to one clan are completed in utmost haste. Plum departments are ‘guarded’ by one family, ignoring conflict of interest. A ‘defeated force’ of Halqa in charges ‘command’ over DCs and SSPs. Wonder how a ‘clean and straight’ General will deal with it.
