JAMMU: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. R.D Sharma felicitated Dr. Piyush Malviya, Associate Professor, Department of Environment Sciences, University of Jammu on being awarded the prestigious Research Award by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and wished him success.
Dr. Malaviya has got the coveted award for pursuing research in the area of industrial wastewater bioremediation. The research award entails full salary reimbursement of the awardee to JU for two years along with a research grant.
Dr. Malviya was awarded Annual Quality Assurance Award 2016 in a felicitation function organized today by the Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu.
Congratulating Dr Malviya on his achievement, Prof. Sharma also placed on record his deep appreciation for the significant achievements registered by other faculty members in the past. He exuded confidence that the achievements of researchers will inspire fellow scholars to make their mark in their chosen fields.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director DIQA, dwelt on the achievements of Dr. Piyush Malviya.Dr. Piyush Malviya also shared his experiences with the fellow faculty members and the participants.
