DODA: Police fished out body of an unidentified middle aged man from river Chenab near Assar in Doda District on Friday afternoon.
As per police sources, a passerby saw body of a male floating in river Chenab near village Gunata in Assar area of Doda and informed the police.
On getting information, police team from Police Station Assar rushed to the spot and fished out the body of the middle aged man from the river.
“The unidentified body has been shifted to Primary Health Center Assar for identification. We have also sounded an alert and informed all the police stations and police posts about any missing person recently, ” said SSP Doda Zahid Naseem Manhas.
” Meanwhile we have started an inquest proceeding under section 174 CRPC at Police Station Assar, hopefully we will be able to identify the body soon,” SSP added.
