RAJOURI: Police on Sunday arrested two thieves and recovered stolen property worth Rs 40,000 on their disclosure.
As per the details, on 27th January 2017 one Jalal Din son of Makna resident of Larkoti Teh. Kotranka lodged a written complaint at Police Station Kandi that on the intervening night of 23rd-24th January 2017 some unknown persons entered his house and stolen one water tank (1,000 litres)’, two blankets (Korea), one casio wrist watch, one mobile phone etc. On the same night the thieves also stole the water tank of Govt. Middle School Larkoti as reported by Headmaster Middle School Larkoti, Kandi. On this, SHO Police Station Kandi SI Jhangir Ahmed along with Nafri swung into action and picked up some persons of Draj and Larkoti for questioning. During questioning two suspects namely Shakeel Ahmed and Barket Ali confessed. On their confession all the stolen property (items) Apx. cost Rs 40,000 was recovered. A case vide FIR No.5/2017 under section 457/380 was registered at Police Station Kandi and further investigation is going on.
