KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 85 grams Charas from their possession.
According to a report, acting on a specific information, the police party of Police Check Post Searli intercepted one Auto rickshaw bearing registration No.0869/JK20 coming from Bhagtha towards Katra driven by Mohd Arif son of Mohd Aslam resident of Bhagtha Tehsil Katra District Reasi alongwith a passenger namely Rakesh Kumar son of Sham Lal resident of Ghordi Tehsil Ramnagar District Udhampur. During checking, police recovered 85 gms Charas from the possession of both. Both the accused persons have been arrested and recovered Charas has been seized. The Auto rickshaw has also been seized and a case vide FIR No. 132/2016 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra.
