UDHAMPUR: In two different incidents, a housewife and a youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in their respective houses in Tehsil Chenani and Udhampur.
According to a report, a housewife identified as Seema Devi wife of Vinod Kumar resident of village Sunari in Udhampur took some poisonous tablets in her house. Her family members on seeing her lying unconscious shifted her to District Hospital Udhampur.
While In another suicide bid, a youth identified as Ramesh Kumar son of Madan Lal resident of Chenani also took poisonous substance to end his life. Victim was shifted to SDH Chenani where doctors on seeing his condition critical further referred him to District Hospital Udhampur. Condition of both victims was stated to be stable till filing last report. Chenani and Udhampur Police have registered the cases for investigation.
