UDHAMPUR: In two different suicide attempts, a girl died after jumping from roof of her house in Udhampur.
According to a report, a 24 years girl Makhani Devi daughter of Munshi Ram resident of village Siyal Sallan in Udhampur committed suicide by jumping from roof of her house in Adrash Colony.
Victim was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared her brought dead. Police handed over her body to family members after conducting autopsy.
In another suicide bid, a middle aged person attempted suicide in his house by strangulating his neck. On being suspicious family members broke open the door of his room and immediately shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur from where doctors on seeing his critical condition further referred him to GMC Jammu.
Victim was identified as Rajeev son of Munshi Dass resident of village Satyalta in Tehsil Chenani in Udhampur. Police have registered the cases for investigation.
