AKHNOOR: Two youths were arrested for eve-teasing girl students outside Government Degree College (GDC), Akhnoor.
As per police sources, complaints were received from GDC Akhnoor and other persons that some car borne youths are creating nuisance around the College at closing time.
Acting over the complaints, a team from Akhnoor police station started patrolling around the premises of the College and caught two youths for creating nuisance.
The arrested persons have been identified as Devinder Kumar, son of Nand Lal of Mawa Karora Karangi and Pankaj Sharma, son of Prem Nath of Muthi Maira. Their vehicles bearing registration numbers JKO2AG-9183 and JK02B-5029 have also been seized.
A case under FIR Number 127/16 under Section 294 RPC has been registered against them at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Pushpinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
