SAMBA: Police on Friday arrested a trucker and recovered 3.5 kg poppy straw from his possession.
According to a report, a party of Police Station Samba headed by Inspector Yashpal Singh SHO Samba and In-Charge Naka Nud intercepted one Truck (PBO5R 8105). During search, 3.5 Kilograms poppy straw was recovered from the possession of driver truck namely Vikram Singh son of Jagtaar Singh resident of Kodawa Tehsil Dasua District Hosiarpur Punjab.
The consignment was seized, driver was arrested and a case vide FIR no 162/2017 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Samba.
