Traffic awareness prog organized in Kathua

JAMMU: An awareness programme on Traffic rule and MVA/Rules, was organised at DS Heritage School Barwal, Kathua by Traffic Police Rural Jammu on Tuesday on the directions issued by IGP Traffic J and K and Dy. Inspector General, Jammu Range.
Near about 110 students and faculty members of the school as well as 15 drivers participated in this awareness program.
A Lecture was delivered by Inspector Sarabjeet Singh DTI Kathua regarding effects of violation of traffic rules/MVA, particularly the hazards of driving two wheelers without helmet, triple riding, driving without DL and other visible offences in which human lives are directly involved.
An interaction with students and staff was also held and the students were made aware about the importance of obeying Traffic Rules/MVA and the denotation of Traffic signals and importance of DL.
During the interaction, the students were imparted knowledge on how to maintain the road discipline while driving and walking. The students showed keen interest in this awareness program and thanked the Traffic Staff.
