Traditional fervour marks Baisakhi celebrations at JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: The Baisakhi festival symbolizes the beginning of the harvest season, a celebration of the fruits of the indefatigable endeavours of farmers and a thanksgiving occasion for a bountiful harvest. For the Sikhs, it also marks the founding of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699.
Setting the mood for the harvest festival Baisakhi, a special assembly was presented by students of the school, highlighting the historical importance of the day followed by the amazing dance performances and art works made by the students successfully which captured and shared the spirit of the festival with fellow students and teachers.
The school choir enthralled all with their melodious song welcoming the festival of harvest.
Jasleen of Grade XII enumerated the achievements of the father of the Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar, whose phenomenal contributions, made to the Post-independent era of India, are paid rich tributes on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
The foot tapping beats of the Bhangra filled the air with exuberance. Gidda performance left everyone awe struck. The little ones from the Toddlers’ World set the stage ablaze with their mesmerizing performance amidst lots of cheers.
Principal, Rajesh Rathore in his speech, greeted everyone on the eve of Baisakhi. He praised the festive spirit of Baisakhi brilliantly displayed by the students and praised the staff for instilling such spirit in JKiians.
He praised the phenomenal achievements of Dr Ambedkar, the Chief architect of Indian Constitution, who acquired mastery over 64 subjects and 9 languages. Dr Ambedkar stressed that education is the most potent tool, in fact the magical wand, which broadens our perception, elevates the societal status & thus transforms the lives of people. He showered encomiums on the vibrance of Baisakhi and the kelaideoscopic view it gave to the celebrations all over the country.
Eid -ul-Fitr – The day of bliss and rejoices, a celebration of love, forgiveness, and togetherness.
