Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir):Soldiers shot dead three militants after a fierce gun battle near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the military said.
Acting on a tip, troops from 15 Rashtriya Rifles killed the three at Kishangarh Ridge, about seven hours after spotting them around midnight.
Three AK-47 rifles, 15 magazines and 319 rounds of ammunition were seized from the slain militants. The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
