Over three lakh pay obeisance at Pingla Mata Shrine

UDHAMPUR: Over three lakh devotees from across the State visited the Holy Cave Shrine of Mata Pingla Devi during first three Navratras situated at a hillock in Ramnagar Tehsil.
According to reports Akhand Jyoti was lit at Ramnagar on first Navratra and then taken to Mata Pingla Devi Bhawan in a colourful procession enc-hanting Bhajans and Kirtans on the eve of second Navratra.
On the arrival of Sacred Jyoti at Bhawan, Pujaris performed Puja with recitation of Vedic Mantras and showering flowers. To witness the Puja of Jyoti, thousands of devotees were present and atmosphere of Bhawan was filled with the Jaikaras of Maa Pingla.
Organiser of Akhand Jyoti Committee Vinay Jandial appealed to the public and administration to come forward for the development of Holy Shrine.
He said that twenty nine years ago the Yatra was started by a staunch devotee O.P Jandial and other associates and since then the Yatra is being organised by the committee every year with pomp and show.
On this occasion adequate arrangements were made by civil and Police Depar-tments.
A large number of Langars were also organised by various organisations enroute from Base Camp Kogh to Bhawan. The nine-day Yatra will conclude with Kanya Pujan on Ramnavmi.
