NOWSHERA: Police on Wednesday solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen goods on his disclosure.
As per the details, on 24th January 2017, a lady namely Rajni Bala wife of Bal Raj resident of Rajal Nowshera lodged a written report at Police Station Nowshera mentioning therein that on 21st Dec 2016 she along with her family members had gone to Delhi to attend the last rites of her mother-in- law at Delhi after locking main door of her house.
On the same day during night hours some unknown burglars entered into her house and stole some golden ornaments which include two golden chains, two ear rings, one nose pin including cash worth Rs 4,000 and an ATM card of the complainant from her house. After that cash worth Rs.11,500 was also withdrawn from the A/C of the complaint through stolen ATM card.
In this regard a case vide FIR No. 09/2017 under section 457/380 RPC was registered at Police Station Nowshera and investigation was taken up by SHO Police Station Nowshera Haji Mohd Bashir.
During investigation some suspects from the area were rounded up and during sustained interrogation one suspect namely Mohd Rafi son of Mohd Bashir resident of Rajal confessed about the theft and stolen property worth rupees 73,500 was also recovered from him.
