Temple desecration case: Court rejects bail

JAMMU: Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu Shahzad Azeem on Tuesday rejected the bail application of one, Subash Kumar who is one of the accused in Nanak Nagar Shiv Temple desecration case. The Court observed that the accused had taken various grounds for admitting him on bail but there is important aspect of the matter that accused Subash Kumar is charged for commission of offence under Section 120-B read with 295, 296 and 354 RPC. Therefore, the Court observed that the accused can’t be admitted to bail and by virtue of order dated 26th December, 2016, formal charges are drawn up against him under Sections 295,296 and 354 read with 120-B RPC after drawing satisfaction that there is sufficient ground for presuming that accused has committed the offence.
With these observations, the Court denied bail to the accused.
