Teachers not growing
Dear Editor,
Reading literature is akin to listening to music or appreciating a work of art. But it can be a subversive act too, keeping in view the divorced sensibilities of an alien culture and mindset. The problem is that some teachers do not really grow and enrich themselves intellectually and thus do not provoke creativity amongst their students. It is hard as an Indian student of English to gulp down “a drop of blood of Jesus”, not knowing that it is meant for redemption of a kind.
