KISHTWAR: To take stock of over 80 residential houses gutted in Village Sukhni of Warwan in District Kishtwar , People’s Democratic Party’s, MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak visited the affected families and offered help to the families.
An official spokesman said MLC, Tak is camping in the fire affected village for the past three days.
Officials of police and civil administration on the instruction of MLC Firdous Ahmad Tak, rushed essential supplies including cash to the village to meet emergency situation,spokesperson said.
He informed that MLC flew in early in the morning of 16th October along with Divisional Commissioner Jammu, District Development Commissioner and SSP Kishtwar .
He said that MLC has already announced financial assistant for the fire victims and also personally monitoring the relief and rehabilitation work.
The spokesperson said that Member of Legislative Council has continuously been in touch with the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti for giving assistance to the people of village Sukhni. He also said that MLC has established a relief monitoring camp since last three days in a village.
Spokesperson said that Tak has assured all possible support to affected families and sought public help in building the new structures within short period of time, he informed.
Tak assured the local affected people of Suknai that he would take up shifting of destroyed middle school in nearby building so that the students do not suffer anymore, adding that primary health center will also be shifted in another building. Tak is also in touch with the district administration for making smooth supply of goods and materials for the people of affected area.
