Jammu: Surinder Singh Kala on Friday was re-elected unopposed as President of the Vegetable & Fruit Association New Sabzi Mandi, Narwal, Jammu, while Vishal Kohli was elected as Vice-President of the Association here.
The elections were held under the supervision of Election Incharge, Baidev Raj. “There were only five nominations received by the election commission for five positions and there were no other contestants flied the nomination for any post therefore the panel of the Surinder Singh (kala) elected unopposed for the period of 2021-22,” Baidev Raj said. Others elected office bearers include Jogindfr Mohan Puri (General Secretary), Ankurn Anand (Secretary) and Tarsem Gupta (Treasurer).
Speaking on the occasion, Surinder Singh Kala expressed gratitude to the members of Vegetable Market Association for their support. He assured the association members that he will work hard in resolving their issues. All the shopkeepers congratulated the Surinder Singh Kala and his team.
