Stock position of essential commodities reviewed in Baramulla District

BARAMULLA: In view of taking a comprehensive review of the supplies and stock position of the essential commodities in Baramulla District, Additional District Commissioner chaired a meeting attended by Assistant Director CAPD besides the wholesale dealers of the district.
It was given out in the meeting that 27,807 quintals of rice have already been stocked at 66 outlets in the remote areas of the district. Besides, a total of one lakh quintals of rice have been already dumped at FCI and other outlets in the district.
A total of 1,022 KL of Kerosene oil have already been distributed to the dealers with 100 per cent lifting of the stocks already taken place. Moreover, a total of 1.32 lakh of active connections of LPG in the district, with a total requirement of 72,000 LPG Cylinders on monthly basis are being provided to consumers of the district.
The Additional District Commissioner while impressing upon the dealers for smooth supply of LPG in the district, informed the people of the district that they should provide their account numbers before 31st January for direct cash transfer of the subsidy from February 2015. However, the LPG dealers were directed to provide LPG gas cylinders to the consumers at subsidized rate of 435.50 for the month of January, to which the dealers agreed.
Meanwhile, regular market checking by teams comprising of the officials of Revenue, CAPD, Legal Metrology and Municipality Department are conducted regularly in the district.
