State shooting team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU: A 14-member State shooting team on Saturday left for participation in the 58th National Shooting Championship in Small Bore Rifle and Pistol events at Balewadi Shooting Ranges in Pune.
The championship is being organised by the Maharashtra Rifle Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India in both men and women sections.
Earlier, the selected shooters underwent coaching camp, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association, at Gulshan Ground and Delhi Public School Shooting Ranges under the supervision of NRAI qualified coach of J and K Police, Rajesh Virdhy. He was assisted by Depika Singh Assistant Coach, a handout issued here on Saturday said.
The State team is accompanied by Rajesh Virdhy as Coach.
The Team: Surjeet Singh, Vijay Kumar (J and K Police), Sunmoon Singh, Digvijay Singh (Jammu), Saumya Saxena and Shreya Saxena (both from Army Public School Kaluchak), Angad Walia (APS Udhampur), Sahil Sharma (JU), Dhir Singh (Samba), Aman Singh (Akhnoor), Anil Sharma, Tarun Dev Singh Jamwal, Anu Sharma (Kathua).
