State Judo team leaves for Chennai

JAMMU: A 15-member State judo contingent on Thursday left for participation in the Senior National Championship to be held at Chennai in Tamil Nadu from 25th to 28th February.
The team, comprised of seven men, an equal number of women and three officials, earlier underwent screening conducted by J and K State Sports Council. The team is accompanied by Suraj Bhan Singh and Manisha Sharma as Coach and Mansih Chatwal as a Manager.
The Team:
Boys: Aamir Ashraf, Aman Gupta, Mohd Fazil, Rahil Shafi, Danish Sharma, Farhat Gulzar and Aman Singh. Girls: Shahla Illiyas, Manisha Kumari, Nippu Jamwal, Kabra Altaf, Poonam Sharma and Yasmeen Nazir.
Meanwhile, the President of J and K Judo Association, Thakur Rachpal Singh blessed the team for success in the upcoming event.
