JAMMU: A 32-member State team on Saturday left for participation in the 26th Senior and Fourth Youth Under-23 National (boys and girls) Fencing Championship to be held at Balewadi, Pune in Maharashtra from 23rd to 27th March.
Earlier, the selected teams underwent a screening test conducted by the State Sports Council here on Saturday.
A 21-day coaching camp, duly sponsored by Sports Council was also held under the guidance of Rachna Jamwal and Shottu Lal Sharma. Ajay Khatrol is accompanying the team as Manager.
The screening team was comprised of Shiv Kumar Sharma, Rashid Ahmed, Rajan Sharma and Kurpali Singh.
However, the Fencing Association could not provide the names of the players in the handout issued here today.
