JAMMU: The four State climbers on Monday left for participation in the 20th National Sport Climbing Championship, organised by Indian Mountaineering Foundation East Zone Committee, Kolkata from 4th to 7th December.
These climbers, Shivani Charak, Hardev Singh, Mrityunjay Sharma and Shilpa Charak are accompanied by Shawetica Khajuria and Anil Kumar as Manager and Coach respectively.
All these four climbers from the state are part of the 24-member North Zone team taking part in this inter-zonal national championship.
In the meantime, before their departure for the venue, the State climbers and their officials along with Secretary of Mountaineering Association of J and K, Ram Khajuria called on the President of the Association, B.R Sharma (Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development Department, J and K).
Sharma wished the team all the best and announced that the Association would suitably honour the climbers who win medals in the national competition
