LEH: Delhi Public School (DPS) Leh organized prize distribution function in the school on Monday in which Superintendent of Police Leh, Dr. Sunil Gupta was the Chief-Guest.
Principal of the school, Subhash Kumar Baldotra welcomed the Chief Guest by presenting him with the traditional Khatak and application of vermillion on the fore-head by the Head-Girl.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the Chief Guest followed by the chanting of Saraswati Vandana by the school choir and thereafter songs by the tiny-tots.
The Chief Guest distributed the prizes to the winners of various events like coloring competition for the junior section, calligraphy competition in English, Hindi, Urdu, Bodhi Languages, athletic meet, cricket, badminton and volleyball match.
Dr. Sunil Gupta appreciated the principal, staff and students for participating and winning prizes in different disciplines.
He also complimented the school authorities for providing the best infra structure in Leh.
Principal of the School, Subhash Kumar Baldotra and Local Management Committee member T.P Singh also appreciated and applauded the efforts of the students and teachers.
