JAMMU: Former Minister and senior leader of BJP, Sukhnandan Choudhary on Monday felicitated Climber Shivani Charak at her residence Dream City, Ward 65 Jammu North.
Shivani Charak, an ace sport climber of J&K, recently brought laurels to the Union Territory (UT) by representing the country in the 19th Asian Games at Hangzhou China.
Choudhary congratulated Shivani Charak for her great achievement and wished her the best for her future competition.
A gift hamper was also presented to her by Sukhnandan Choudhary.
While felicitating the distinguished sport climber for her remarkable achievement, Choudhary Sukhnandan said that Shivani has become the first women and only the seventh sportsperson of J&K to participate in the Asian games during the last 75 years.
Choudhary also disclosed that Shivani was now completely focused on Olympics to be held at Paris, France next year & gearing up for the qualifying event to be held in Indonesia in next month.
Choudhary said that Shivani being only 21 years old has a long climbing carrier a head of her and the club was confident of success at the world level. Choudhary thanked everyone who supported Shivani during the journey at the top position.
On the occasion Corporator Kapil Singh Chib, District Secretary BJP Deepak Pandey, Hardeep Singh, Gourav Singh are also present there.
