JAMMU: SSP Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta on Tuesday stressed on ensuring foolproof security during Republic Day celebrations.
He was addressing a crime review meeting of Police Sub-Division City South at District Police Headquarters Jammu.
SP City South Shehzad Ahmed Salaria, SDPO City South Sachin Gupta, SHOs of Gandhi Nagar, Satwari and Gangyal and Incharges of Police Post Nehru Market, Digiana, Greater Kailash, Gadigarh, Chatha, Phallian Mandal and Beli Charana were present in the meeting.
The SSP examined the performance of these units.
The main focus of the meeting was investigation of burglary, motor vehicle theft, NDPS Act and other cases.
Besides, missing persons, inquest proceedings, arrest of absconders and action taken under preventive measures were also reviewed.
SSP Jammu took the strict review for early finalisation of theft cases to give the relief to the general public.
He also stressed on forthcoming Republic Day 2017 and advised the participants to conduct special Nakas, foot patrolling, tenant verifications and hotel checking, etc. in their respective jurisdictions to avoid any untoward incidents.
They were directed to conduct the investigation of cases with zeal, dedication and with transparency at an earliest possible time in the public interest and bring the pendency to the minimum.
