JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani excelled after winning team event in the discipline of Football in the ongoing Sportathon Cup 2016, organised by KC Sports Club, here on Friday.
With the outstanding paying techniques players on JK Public School thrashed KC Sports Club by three goals to nil. Vildan Gul and Manik Banotra score one goal each.
In another match, Heritage Public School outplayed DBN Talab Tillo by 3-0. Gurmeet, Harshdeep and Aryan Sethi score one goal each. The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ricky, Rocky and Elizha Sotra.
Table Tennis Matches in U 14 and U 16 (Girls) were started and the Results were as follows:
GIRLS: U-14: Delhi Public School (DPS) defeated Heritage School. The Results: Ragini of DPS beat Pranika of Heritage by 11-01,11-03, Aadishree of DPS defeated Iknoor of Heritage by 11-03,11-07 and in doubles the DPS beat Heritage by 11-05,11-00.
U-16: KCPS stood first and Heritage stood second. KC Public School outplayed St. Xavier by 3-0. In the finals, Shreya of KCPS beat Suhani of Heritage by 11-8,11-6. Osheen of KCPS beat Snehal of Heritage by 11-8,11-4. Doubles: Shreya and Osheen of KCPS defeated Suhani and Snehal of Heritage by 12-10, 04-11, 11-08. DPS defeated Heritage Public by 3-0;
CRICKET: Meanwhile, in ongoing Indoor cricket event, KC Sports Club beat St. Xavier by five wickets. Batting first, St. Xavier made 33 runs in allotted 10 overs with Vishav, Nitin and Abhishek Tushar being top scorers making six runs each. For KC Sports Club, Mohd. Hanzala and Harsh shared three wickets each. In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 8.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Mohsin and Hanzala made 13 and seven runs respectively. For St. Xavier, Paras picked four wickets. In another match, Delhi Public School defeated JK Public School by five wickets. JKPS, batting first after winning the toss, made 34 runs in 10 overs. Divesh and Tathagya scored 11 and seven runs respectively. For DPS, Madhav and Shehzad shared two wickets each.
In reply, DPS chased the target in 7.3 overs for the loss of five wickets. Musaif and Hasnain made 16 and nine runs respectively. For JKPS, Sidhant took one wicket.
