JAMMU: To extend a helping hand to the Mountaineering Association of J and K in achieving the desired goal of winning medals in the forthcoming National Sport Climbing Championship, Tawi Trekkers J and K on Tuesday started a 12 days specialised coaching camp for five state climbers already selected in the North Zone team.
The camp is being organised at the 40ft high fiber glass climbing wall in Sprawling Buds School complex at Chinore, here under the supervision of senior climber, Anil Kumar, a handout issued here on Tuesday informed.
Earlier, the camp was inaugurated by General Secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Shawetica Khajuria in the presence of Vice President, Rajesh Gupta, Joint Secretary and Sonam Sidharth.
Shawetica assured the selected climbers namely Shivani Charak, Mrityunjay Sharma, Palavi Sharma, Shilpa Charak and Hardev Singh that Tawi Trekkers would fully support them in achieving the desired results at the national level.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Mountaineering Association of J and K, Ram Khajuria has expressed his gratitude to the management of Tawi Trekkers J and K for the timely help.
