Snatcher held, 11 mobile phones recovered

JAMMU: Police on Saturday arrested a mobile snatcher and recovered 11 phones from his possession.
According to report, one Shgaffah Aziz, daughter of Abdul Aziz, resident of Shanpora District Srinagar on March 23, 2017 lodged a written complaint that one unknown person snatched her two mobile phones.
On this, a case FIR No 27/2017 under Section 382 RPC was registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation of the case was taken-up by the SHO.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up and strenuous efforts were made to recover the snatched mobile phones.
Consequently, today one suspect Vicky Rajput, son of Des Raj, resident of Gandoh, Doda, at present Jammu during interrogation confessed his crime. On further interrogation, he confessed his involvement in more cases and on his disclosure 11 snatched/stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession.
The arrest and recovery was made by the team headed by SHO Police Station Bus Stand Inspector Ravi Kant under the supervision of SDPO City North, Varun Jandiyal and SP City North, Dr Vinod Kumar.
