VIJAYPUR: MLA Vijaypur Surjit Singh Slathia convened a public meeting at border village Gurwal in Vijaypur here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Slathia said that the several developmental works are under execution in the model village Swankha.
Earlier, Slathia inaugurated Public Health Centre completed at a cost of Rs.10 lakh and two additional class rooms in Government Middle School, Gurwal completed at the cost of Rs. 6 lakh under the scheme Model Village Swankha.
While addressing the large gathering Slathia said that the present government headed by young and dynamic Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to develop the remote and backward areas of the State for which road connectivity is the most important aspect.
A deputation of the village submitted a charter of demands to the MLA which included construction of lanes and drains and black topping of the roads. Slathia assured them that their demands shall be addressed soon.
BMO Ramgarh, BDO Vijaypur, ZEO Vijaypur, Panchs and Sarpanchs and other government officers of different departments were present on the occasion.
