Shopkeeper among two nabbed with 42 pouches of liquor

BARI BRAHMANA: Police on Wednesday arrested two persons including a shopkeeper and recovered 42 pouches of liquor from their possession.
According to a report, Bari Brahmana Police led by SHO Mahesh Sharma during patrolling at Railway Station Road at Bari-Brahmana apprehended one person namely Sain Dass son of Bhagu Ram resident of Kalwal Bishnah and recovered 27 pouches of illicit liquor J and K Excise from his possession.
He accused was arrested and a case vide FIR No.154/2017 under section 48 (A) Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Bari Brahmana.
Meanwhile, on a specific information, SDPO R S Pura Surinder Singh Choudhary conducted a raid in Karyana Shop at Arnia and apprehended one Madan Lal resident of Arnia who was openly selling J&K Excise Liquor pouches (Frooties) in his shop to earn illegitimate profit. During search, 15 pouches of Excise Liquor were recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 74/2017 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Arnia.
