Shiv Sena demands police protection for leaders

KATHUA: Hundreds of activists of Shiv Sena ( Bala Sahib Thackery) Kathua unit on Tuesday staged a protest against State Govt. for not providing them police security and on the occasion also burned the effigy of State Govt. The protest was organised on the directions of State President and Chairman of the Party Dimpy Kohli, Rakesh Gupta and Manish Sawhney General Secretary.
On the occasion while addressing the gathering Kathua Unit Chief Radhey Radhey Ji Maharaj said that Govt. is not providing any security to Shiv Sena leaders despite the fact that their life is under threat by Pak sponsored militants. He said that threat letters by militant organisations have been received by Shiv Sena leaders as these leaders are 100 per cent nationalists and are fighting with these militants will full power and energy at all levels. They said that in this connection FIR is also lodged at the concerned police station.
The Shiv Sena leaders said that after so many requests the State Government took a callous attitude towards their demand of providing them security. If anything untoward happens to any of the leader, the responsibility will lie upon the State Government, who is encouraging the militants by giving them compensation worth lakhs.
They made an appeal to State Govt. to provide security cover to all Shiv Sena leaders immediately. On the occasion Shiv Sainiks also blocked Jammu Pathankot National Highway for few hours in support of their demands during this protest.They said that if their demand is not conceded they will intensify their agitation .
