Shiv Khori Shrine Board – a neglected religious institution

POUNI : Former KAS officer and Independent candidate from Reasi Constituency Saraf Singh Nag while addressing the villagers of seven Panchayats at Ransoo, said that this extreme west corner of district Reasi has been totally neglected for its development. He deplored the bad condition of approach road to Shiv Khori – the Holy Cave of Bhagvan Shiv where 15 to 20 lakh pilgrims visit every year, saying it is totally damaged and has become almost un-motorable. The vehicles are parked at distant places in the fields.
He further said that though the Shiv Khori Shrine Board is existing but no activities are visible and its employees are also waiting for the facilities at par with the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
Sarpanchs of Sangar, Kotla, Teode and Alya disclosed that no assessment has been carried out for the losses they suffered during last rains and flash floods and the sufferers are still waiting for relief. They resented that the sitting MLA and MLC who are duly equipped with the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) also failed to take care of the people. They highlighted that they are being confronted to the extreme problem of electric power, drinking water, ration, kerosene oil etc.
Among in favour of Saraf Singh Nag, the Independent candidate thanked the people for warm response to his campaign. He asked them to use each and every vote of the area on 2nd December, 2014 so that he is declared victorious with thumping majority. He assured them that unlike the earlier leaders, they would find him always standing by their side.
