POONCH: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Rahul Yadav on Tuesday inaugurated District Poonch Premier Volleyball League orgnised by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council at Sports Stadium Poonch.
The League is being under the supervision of Incharge Sports Stadium Poonch Nirdosh Kumar.
In opening match, Shaheed Mumtaz Volleyball Club Chandak beat Star Volleyball Club Surankot by 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) sets.
Saqlain Tariq, an international volleyball player, was the Special Guest on the occasion.
Others presented were Krishan Lal Secretary District Poonch Volleyball Association, Mohd Tariq Chairman Shaheed Manjit Singh Volleyball Club and Balkrishan veteran volleyball player.
Today’s match was officiated by Neeraj Sharma, Surab Sharma, Abdul Majid and DK Raina.
