POONCH: Zonal Education Officer Gursai Sadiq Chowhan paid a surprise visit to half a dozen government schools in Gursai Zone in Mendhar Tehsil, charge sheeted seven teachers and withheld their salary for the month of November.
He visited Primary School Mohalla Gorsian and the school was found closed at 2:40 PM and the teachers namely Zafar Salam and Jamshed Begum were absent from their duties. In Primary School Nariyan Ari Teachers namely Amrit Lal, was absent unauthorisedly, In Middle School Dabura Headmaster Khurshid Ahmed was unauthorisedly absent, Primary School Nabni Ari was closed at 2:00 PM, the School Teachers Neeru Suri and Shewata Sharma were charge sheeted for closing school before closing time.
The ZEO charge sheeted all the teachers and kept their salary for the month of November and asked all the teachers to explain their positions.
