THANNAMANDI: Police on Tuesday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing seven bovines and arresting a smuggler at Thannamandi. According to a report, based on a specific input about bovine smuggling attempt at Thanamandi, a party headed by In-Charge SHO Thannamandi intercepted a vehicle (JK11/9185) in which seven bovines were loaded and heading towards Kashmir. All the bovines were rescued and the accused person namely Mohd Jameel son of Faqeer Mohd resident of Khablan was arrested. A case vide FIR No 91 under section 188 RPC, 03 PC Act was against him registered at Police Station Thannamandi.
