SAMBA: Police on Thursday arrested a scooty rider and recovered 4 kilograms poppy straw from his possession.
According to a report, a police party of Police Station Samba laid a Naka near Polytechnic College Samba and during Naka checking, a Scooty (7229/JK-21B) driven by Mohan Singh son of Dhanther Singh resident of Markoli Tehsil Samba was intercepted. During his checking, police recovered four Kg poppy straw from his possession. The accused was arrested and a case vide FIR No. 59/2017 under section 8/15NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Samba.
