School girls celebrate Raksha Bandhan with security forces

UDHAMPUR/MENDHAR: Raksha Bandhan programme was celebrated with the jawans of 137 BN CRPF Udhampur in which students, Scouts and Guides from Bhartiya Vidya Mandir High School Udhampur tied Rakhis on the wrist of CRPF jawans and officers.
This was an indicative on the part of students that our forces who are deployed in the far flung areas and doing their duty day and night should not feel out of home. The students resolved that we are with security forces, likewise other citizens of the country while they are in the service of the nation. Officers, jawan became emotionally attached with the students on the occasion. Management principal and staff thanked the commandant CRPF for co-operation and contribution and sparing valuable time for the students and message to the society.
Meanwhile, army Jawans and locals of Poonch District celebrated Raskha Bandhan festival in far flung areas in Lower Krishna Ghati, Jhullas and Mendhar in Poonch District.
Groups of young girls from various Schools and Colleges of Poonch district went to the nearby Army units at Lower Krishna Ghati and Jhullas to tie Rakhis to Jawans. The girls from Nari Niketan at Mendhar also tied Rakhies to Jawans at Mendhar. During interaction with Army persons, the girls wished them health and happiness and also prayed for their success in their mission to protect the Mother land.
