ReTs seek streamlining of SSA salary

UDHAMPUR: A monthly meeting of All J and K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held at Udhampur on Sunday under the chairmanship of District President Lekh Raj Parihar and State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and was attended by district executive members and zonal presidents.
While speaking on the occasion Lekh Raj Parihar highlighted the issue of SSA salary and its streamlining as SSA teachers are most sufferers in the department and arrears of newly regularised ReTs are also pending . He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs who have acquired qualifications from out of state UGC recognised universities and ReTs having less enrolment in their schools as these schools have not been merged with other schools due to geographic conditions and their files are lying in Directorate of School Education Jammu for a long time and these teachers are suffering a lot.
He also appealed to the Education Minister to frame transfer policy in favour of regularised ReTs and SSA salary be streamlined for the welfare of thousands of ReTs of the State as Education Minister has revolutionised the education sector since he took over the charge by his positive approach towards teaching fraternity.
While speaking on the occasion Sukhdev Singh Sumbria demanded release of Mid Day Meals dues for the year of 2017-18 and previous liability for which teachers are suffering badly.
Others who also spoke on occasion include Sukesh Khajuria, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Ravinder Rathore, Bhushan Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Balbinder Singh, Surjit Singh, Vipin Sharma, Sushil Singh, Anil Sharma and Prashant Sharma.
