SAMBA: Senior NC leader and candidate from Samba Satwant Kaur Dogra toured flood affected villages of Purmandal, Nud, Sumb and Samba Blocks of Samba Assembly Constituency and interacted with the affected families and assured them that Omar led government is working hard to ensure that all flood affected families could get immediate relief and rehabilitation services. After taking stock of the situation she met District Administration Officials including DC, ADC, and ACR and apprised them of the situation.
She said that hundreds of houses have been damaged fully or partially, nearly two feet of silt has accumulated in the fields damaging thousands of acres of crop, various roads, culverts and a portion of bridge has been washed away besides damage to the power and water supply system. She appealed to the district administration to assess the damages /loss immediately so that the affected families could be compensated. She stressed that those who lost their houses, land and crops should be provided relief and compensation quickly.
While appreciating the efforts of district administration in distributing relief, she appealed to the people to register their complaint at the recently established Public Grievance Cell at District Complex, Samba with a dedicated phone number 01923-219093 for early redressal of their grievances.
