KISHTWAR: In the wake of huge damage to public and private property due to heavy rainfall and landslides in the district, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Mohd Javed Khan on Thursday convened a meeting of the district officers of Revenue,PDD, PHE, PWD, Health, Rural Development, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Forests,Agriculture, Horticulture and CAPD Departments and Municipal Committee Kishtwar.
The DDC took stock of the damages to the roads, foot bridges, livestock and other public and private property in the district especially in remote areas of Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Chatroo, and Padder. As per the guidelines of SDRF, different committees regarding preparation, assessment and disbursement of relief cases for public infrastructure, private property and livestock were constituted with ADDC as common chairman of each committee. Other members will be concerned Superintending Engineers, XEns of the concerned sectors, ACR and concerned Tehsildars.
The DDC strictly directed for timely assessment and sanctioning of relief cases in favour of affected families. The Forest , PWD and PMGSY were asked to restore the road connectivity and foot bridges on priority. X En PHE was asked to restore the damaged water supply schemes and also start the protection works on different Nallhas that got damaged due to floods . Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments were directed to assess the livestock loss in far flung areas and prepare the relief cases. All departments were asked to work with great dedication and zeal to ensure proper implementation of relief programme under SDRF.
