Sat, Rajesh visit Yatra Base Camp, interact with pilgrims

JAMMU: BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma accompanied by Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta and other prominent party functionaries, on Friday visited the Shri Amarnath Yatri Bhawan at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu and other places which are presently frequented by the Yatris. The BJP leaders interacted with the Yatris and inspected the Bhawan’s facilities being made available to them. They also took stock of the arrangements made by the administration for the Yatris’ comfort.
Sat and Rajesh instructed the officials to ensure that portable water, health and medical facilities and hygienic atmosphere is made available to the Yatris round the clock.
Sat Sharma informed the Yatris that the Yatra had to be temporarily suspended on account of rains and National Highway road closure and the same shall be restarted at the earliest.
He also assured that more and adequate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure their safety and well being.
Sat also told them that all peace loving citizens of the State, whether in Jammu region or in Kashmir Valley, are always ready to render help and assistance to the Yatris, this being the tradition in the entire State.
“It is the government’s wish that the Yatris are not put to any inconvenience and hardship on account of their getting stranded on the National Highway due to sudden closure of the road,” he said and added the Yatra is regulated and meticulously supervised to avoid discomfort to them.
He said that the government and the people make every effort for the comfort and well being of the Yatris.
Rajesh, while addressing the Yatris, said that BJP has put its entire party machinery in helping and assisting them. He further said that BJP has also established a 24×7 helpline for the use and convenience of the Yatris. Every BJP activist is committed for the success of the Shri Amarnath Yatra and are putting in every effort to attain that aim adding that care and help to the last man in the row has to be extended.
Besides, ACD Arun Manhas, Yatra Incharge SP G.L. Sharma, BJP leaders including Ayodhya Gupta, Parneesh Mahajan, Ramesh Sharma, Prof. Sham Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari, Rajesh, Ramesh Sharma, Mnumanav Mahajan, Puneet Mahajan, Keshav Chopra, Deepak Kumar, Raj Kumar and Dr. Dineshwar Sharma accompanied Sat Sharma.
