RAMBAN: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz, a special squad comprising Assistant Director FCS and CA Ramban, Naib Tehsildar Chanderkote, TSO FCS and CA Ramban besides Police party held checking at the main market of Chanderkote.
During the checking Rs. 5,400 was realised as fine from 28 defaulters under Essential Commodity Act and Price Display Act.
The Dhabas and hotels were asked to restrain from using domestic LPG for commercial purpose otherwise strict action shall be taken against them. Karyana merchants and other commercial establishments were directed to display the rate lists failing which action under Price Display Controlling Act shall be taken against the violators. It was conveyed that the team will conduct such checkings in market in the future also.
