Retirees of several departments given warm send-off

JAMMU: Ashok Kumar Gand-otra, Research Assistant, Divisi-onal Soil Survey Scheme, Jammu was given a warm send-off by the staff and officers of the Directorate of Agriculture here on Wednesday. Sudesh Koul, Director Agriculture, Jammu discussed achievements of Gandotra during his service career. He wished him a happy and prosperous retired life.
A.K Malhotra, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension) also lauded Gandotra for his dedication and selfless service career.
Meanwhile, Raj Kumar Gupta, Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank Circle Office Jammu was accorded a warm farewell on his superannuation after rendering 35 years of services. He joined PNB in 1981 where he rose to ranks and joined PNB Head Office, New Delhi in 2012 as Chief Manager. Bikram Singh Raina, Circle Head, PNB, Jammu Circle and other senior officials of the bank extended best wishes to Gupta for a healthy post retirement life.
Warm send off was accorded to Chabil Singh, Senior Assistant, by the employees of Jammu Development Authority on his superannuation after rendering 42 years of active service in JDA.
Meanwhile, a warm farewell was accorded to Bishwa Mittar Assistant Livestock Officer, Muneer Ahmed Dar Flock Inspector and Ghulam Din Assistant stockman by the staff of Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu on attaining the age of superannuation. Speaking on behalf of Director, Sheep Husbandry Jammu Dr. Sant Ram, the Joint Director (Extension) recalled the services rendered by these officials and wished them a happy and prosperous post retirement life. The officers and officials of other sections also wished them healthy and prosperous post retirement life. Chmail Singh, Vice President of PHE Department Driver Cleaners Union was accorded a warm send-off on retirement from the post of Driver PHE Mechanical North Division, Jammu. The function was organized by the PHE Department Driver Cleaners Union where Chmail Singh was honoured in the presence of senior officers of the department and activists of the Union. Meanwhile warm farewell was given to Assistant Superintendent Postal Pardhuman Singh on his superannuation after completion of more than 37 years of service. The staff of Post Office Akhnoor organised a function and bid him farewell and wished him happy retired life. A warm farewell was given to four police cops who superannuated today . These retiring officers include SI Roshan Lal son of Hari Chand resident of Anjol, Kishtwar, ASI Sansar Chand son of Dewan Chand resident of Treva, Arnia-Jammu, ASI Bansi Lal son of Anant Ram resident of Lalay Chak, Bishnah-Jammu and HC Rakesh Kumar son of Balwant Raj resident of Mangnar, Poonch. A function was organised in which SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta appreciated their services rendered for the general public of J and K State. Every retiree was honoured with a cheque of Rs 50,000 as retirement gift (out of Police Welfare Fund). He wished them happy and prosperous future life. Prominent among others present on the occasion include SP Hqrs. Romesh Chander Kotwal, Dy.SP DAR Gourav Mahajan, RI DPL Inspr. Sohail Rashid and other staff members. Meanwhile, four police personnel of District Police Samba get retired from police service after attaining superannuation. The retiring officer/officials included SI Ramesh Lal , Sgct. Chatter Singh, Sgct. Fazal Qarim and Sgct. Ramesh Kumar. A warm send off function was organised at DPL Samba to for the retiring officer/officials in which Rs. 50,000 was given to each retiring officer as retirement gift. The function was attended by Joginder Singh, SSP Samba, Karanvir Singh, Dy. SP DAR DPL Samba, Neeraj Kumar Dy.SP (Ops) Samba and all other officers/officials of District Police Line Samba. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba congratulated all the retiring officer/officials for successful completion of their services as well as the dedication and devotion shown by them while performing their duties in the department. At last, SSP Samba and other officers wished all the retiring officers happy post retirement life.
