ReT Forum raises burning issues

UDHAMPUR: A monthly meeting of All J and K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held on Sunday at Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by a large number of delegates of all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion Sharma appealed to the Director School Education Jammu Smita Sethi to issue the regularisation orders of the ReTs whose objections have been cleared and the files are in the directorate for a long time .He also appealed her to regularise the ReTs with distance mode degrees of all UGC recognised universities and those having less enrolment.
He also raised the issue of streamlining of SSA salary which is still pending for last three to four months and the family members of these teachers are living in miserable condition as they are unable to provide proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents. He appealed to the government to release the pending SSA salary and arrears of these teachers at the earliest. He demanded transfer policy for regularised ReTs and benefit of SRO 43 in favour of ReTs.
While speaking on the occasion District President Lekh Raj Parihar appealed to the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to release the Mid Day Meal dues which are pending for last many months and the teachers are managing the same from their own pockets.
Others who also spoke on the occasion were-Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Chain Singh, Sandeep Sharma , Sushil Singh, Viney Sharma, Anil Sharma , Bharat Bhushan Singh, Jai Parkash , Suresh Sharma and Pawan Sharma.
