JAMMU: A deputation of All J and K ReT Teachers Forum led by State President Vinod Sharma and Provincial President Rajesh Singh Jamwal on Thursday called on Commissioner Secretary School Education Nirmal Sharma at Civil Secretariat Jammu regarding the release of several months salary under SSA.
While interacting with the Commissioner Secretary Vinod Sharma apprised her that the regularised ReT Teachers under SSA are without salary for last three to eight months in all the districts and they are facing a lot of problems to meet the basic needs of the their families and are on the verge of starvation. He said that though they have projected this matter from pillar to post but still the problem of salary has not been resolved till date. He appealed her to release the funds as already released under Centre’s share.
Nirmal Sharma listened to the deputation sympathetically and assured them that within two or three days Rs. 163 crore under Centre’s share and Rs. 33 crore under State share will be released. She also disclosed that the department has also initiated the process of releasing the next installment under SSA.
Others who were part of the deputation include Lekh Raj Paihar, Sham Sharma, Sukhdev Singh, Ravinder Singh, Rajeet Singh and Mohan Sharma.
