Republic Day: Full dress rehearsal held across Jammu division

JAMMU: The full dress rehearsals for the Republic Day were held here today across the Jammu division.
At Jammu, the event was held at the Maulana Azad Stadium Jammu amid tight security arrangements.
DGP S.P Vaid, ADGP Dilbagh Singh, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal, IGP Jammu Danish Rana, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Simrandeep Singh and senior officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
The contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire and Emergency Services, J and K Forest Protection Force NCC cadets, schools and others participated in the march past. Besides, school children from various educational institutions presented scintillating and colourful cultural programmes including traditional folk songs.
Various Government departments also displayed their tableau’s depicting their functioning and achievements.
At Samba, the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day celebration was held at Arazi Stadium, Samba in which Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the march past.
Students from various educational institutions presented cultural programmes on the occasion.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Joginder Singh, ADDC Vivek Sharma, ADC Tilak Raj Sharma were also present on the occasion.
At Udhampur, the full dress rehearsal for the national celebration was held at Government Degree College, Udhampur
Deputy Commissioner, Niraj Kumar, hoisted the tricolor which was followed by inspection of the parade and taking of salute by the chief guest.
A total of 41 contingents from CRPF, Police, Forest Protection Force, NCC, Home Guards, and various educational Institutions participated in the march past.
SSP Udhampur, Dr. Shailendra Mishra, CPO Rakesh Jamwal, ACR Subhash Chander Dogra, CEO Bishan Singh, Dy. DEO Sapna Kotwal, DYSSO Sudesh K. Chalotra, other District officers besides a large number of teachers and students from different schools were present during the rehearsal.
At Reasi, the event was held at Mini Sports Stadium where Deputy Commissioner Ravinder Kumar hoisted the national flag and took salute from the march past of 28 contingents drawn from CRPF, IRP, J&K Police, STC Talwara, NCC and various educational institutions of the district. A cultural bonanza based on patriotism, local culture and traditions were presented by the participants on the occasion.
At Ramban, the full dress rehearsal was held with patriotic zeal at District Police Line Chandrog, where District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz hoisted the National Flag and took the salute from the contingents.
As many as, 21 contingents including Military Band, CRPF, IRP, JKP, FPF, NCC squads and students’ contingents drawn from various institutions took part in the parade.
Among other SSP, ADDC, ADC, ASP, ACR, CPO, heads of various institutions besides prominent citizens.
At Rajouri, full dress rehearsal in connection with Republic day was held at District Police Line Rajouri in which Deputy Commissioner Shabir Ahmed Bhat took salute at the march past comprising the contingent of JKP, CRPF, JK Armed police, JKFPF, NCC and school children of various educational institutes.
SSP Rajouri Suleiman Choudhary and Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mumtaz Choudhary were also present on the occasion.
At Poonch, a full-dress rehearsal was held at Sports Stadium where Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Harun hoisted the National Flag and inspected the march-past contingents comprising of JKAP, JKP, NCC cadets besides contingents of different schools children. Additional SP Masroor Ahmed Mir, Chief Education officer Lal Hussain Chowdhary, ACR Ashraf Chowdhury, Executive Engineers PWD, PDD, PHE, District Youth and Sports officer and others were also present on the occasion.
At Doda, a full dress rehearsal was held in the Sports stadium, in which Deputy Commissioner, Bhupinder Kumar after inspection of the parade took salute at the march past presented by contingents drawn from the J&K Police, CRPF, FPF, Home Guard, NCC and school children. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional SP Vinay Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ranjeet Singh besides other senior officers were present on the occasion.
At Kishtwar, the event was held at Parade ground Kishtwar where Deputy Commissioner, G N Balwan after inspection of the parade took salute at the march past by the contingents drawn from the J&K Police, CRPF, FPF, Home Guard, NCC and school children.
