JAMMU: According to a report, a hardcore criminal namely Vikramjeet Singh alias Vicky, son of Mohan Singh, resident of House No 67/2 Model Town Gangyal, at Present Shiv Nagar Sehora District Jammu was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) on the directions of District Magistrate Jammu vide Order No. 2 of 2016.
The accused has been involved in 18 FIRs with 8 in Police Station Gangyal, 6 in Gandhi Nagar, one each at R S Pura, Bahu Fort and Bari Brahmana involving cases including attempt to murder, assault, stabbing, rioting, possession of illegal weapons, trespassing, etc with the latest being in R S Pura where the accused tried to fire on a Police Party.
A pistol, Desi Katta and sharp edged weapons were recovered from his possession. The accused had let lose a reign of terror in Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Gangyal and Bari Brahmana areas. The accused was leading a group of notorious criminals.
