BHADARWAH: The protection wall of under construction road being built by State Roads and Building (R&B) Department near Chingam in Chatroo Tehsil of District Kishtwar collapsed on Friday afternoon claiming the life of one labourer and injuring another one.
According to reports, the retaining wall was being built on an under construction road in Phalgwara Chingam area of Chatroo.
According to reports, both labourers were engaged in work of roadside retaining wall at Pahalgwara Chingam of Chatroo area, when they came under the impact of debris, as wall, on which they were working suddenly collapsed and fell on them.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Aziz (50) son of Ghulam Mohammed of Chingam while another worker who was rescued was identified as Roshan Lal (50) son of Daya Ram of Paran, Chingam.
Police has registered a case vide FIR number 55/2017 under section 304-A, 337 RPC at Police Station Chatroo and started investigation.
“We have taken cognisance of the incident in which a laborer was killed by coming under the debris of an under construction site. As of now, we have started the investigation and recording statements after registering an FIR at Police Station Chatroo,” said SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir.
