AKHNOOR: Principal, Government Degree College Akhnoor, Dr. S.P. Sharma, on Saturday launched an Android App “JKINFO.in” which provides latest job and admission information via push notifications from various official websites of Jammu and Kashmir.
While launching, Dr. Sharma said that this Android app is very useful for students and job seekers of J and K, as it provide alerts which helps them to get latest information.
Principal also encouraged the faculty members to develop more such app for the benefit of people of J and K, especially for the people of border areas.
App was designed and developed by Prof. Rakesh Mohan Datt, Assistant Professor in the subject of Computer Applications, GDC Akhnoor.
The App automatically sends alert to the users whenever new information is available.
The App uses minimum bandwidth and hence save valuable data plan.
The Application size is only 4.0 MB and is available for download at Google play store for free. The occasion was graced by the presence of faculty members Prof. Prof. Chander Shekhar, Prof. Tarsem Lal and Prof. Kuldeep Kumar.
